Our journey to Everibodi

💛 The Evribodi Story

Some businesses are built from opportunity. Evribodi was built from love.

In 2016, our founder's world changed forever when her daughter faced a rare illness that led to paralysis. What followed were long months inside medical rehabilitation centres — places that, while filled with pain, were also unexpectedly filled with the most breathtaking humanity. People from every walk of life, every background, every culture, every ability, sharing space and sharing struggle. The beauty was undeniable. But so was something else — the cruelty that quietly lives inside ignorance. The hurt that happens not from malice, but simply from never having been taught to understand that different is not less. Different is extraordinary.

That experience planted a seed that never stopped growing.

As a mother of three and a grandmother who has walked alongside children through every stage of life — from the wonder of preschool all the way through to college — she had already spent years noticing something that troubled her deeply. The values that make us good humans. The ones that teach us to be kind, to listen, to share, to sit with our feelings without shame, to look at someone different from us and see beauty instead of something to fear. Those values were quietly disappearing from the way we raise and educate our children. Not because parents do not care. But because somewhere along the way, nobody made space for them.

Then came COVID. And the quiet crisis became impossible to ignore.

A generation of children was pushed out into the world having missed the critical window where social and emotional skills are built — the years where little humans learn how to be with each other. How to regulate their emotions. How to navigate a room full of people who think, move, speak, and feel differently than they do. Working as a preschool educational aide for the past three years, our founder watched this unfold in real time inside real classrooms. Children desperate for connection but missing the tools. Brilliant, beautiful little humans who had never been taught that their feelings matter, that diversity is real and wonderful and worth celebrating, and that the world is genuinely better because they are in it.

So she built Evribodi.

Not a curriculum. Not a checklist. A living, breathing, loud and joyful and deeply loving set of programs that walk into classrooms and do the one thing that changes everything — they remind every single child that they matter. That their body is beautiful. That their feelings are valid. That the kid next to them — the one who moves differently, speaks differently, thinks differently — is not someone to be afraid of. They are someone to be celebrated.

Because when we teach children these things early — when we plant these roots deep and joyfully and boldly — we do not just change a classroom. We change the humans those children grow up to become.

That is why Evribodi exists. For every child who has ever felt like they did not belong. For every parent who wants their child to grow up kind. For every teacher who knows there is not enough time in the day to teach everything that matters.

And for a little girl who changed her mother's life — and in doing so, may just change the world. 💛

Messages that matter

The most important messages we want children to take away from Everibodi are profound and empowering:

  • That you are different for a reason, and that everybody is important.
  • That your needs matter and that you are loved.

We strive to instill a deep sense of self-worth and belonging in every child. Through our programs, they learn that individuality is a strength, that empathy connects us all, and that kindness can truly change the world. These core values are the foundation upon which we build resilient, compassionate, and understanding young minds in Edmonton and beyond.

"My child came home from Everibodi glowing! They loved the stories and activities, and I've already seen them show more empathy towards others. It's truly amazing."
